As many of you know for the past year I have been talking about knitting a Kelp Forest. This always seemed very ambitious, and with not having a very large space to put it, I concentrated on other projects.
But now my dream is coming true. We have been asked by the Board of Hopkins Marine Station to produce a knitted & crocheted Kelp Forest exhibit. Life-size! This is a monumental task for our small group of local artists, so I will be asking you for help.
In coming weeks we will have a web page dedicated to this project, where you will find information on how you can help, as well as keep up with our progress. I hope you will join us.

We have just added Jordana Paige's line of knitting bags to our stock. A great gift for the knitter or crocheter with everything, or just spoil yourself - you deserve it.

We will be getting a small order from Jade Sapphire in about a week. This will include some of their 4-ply 100% Mongolian Cashmere (sport weight), 2-ply Cashmere Silk and Lacey Lamb (lace weight washable wool)
6th April 2011
We are participating in this year's P2P Shop Hop. The dates are May 13th, 14th & 15th, so please add this to your calendar and join us for a fun weekend.
13th March 2011
It's an exciting week for us.
Universal Yarns has shipped their new novelty ribbon yarn, Tundra, which should be here on the 17th.
Also coming in this week is our first shipment from Pagewood Farms. This will include some of their Denali sock yarn. The lace weight and Thick'n'Thin we are getting should work well for Scribble Lace.
Looks like a busy week for knitting samples. We'll post pictures of the samples as soon as we can.

At the beginning of January we attended the TNNA Needlearts Expo in Long Beach. The goal was to find new and exciting yarns to carry, to help you, our friends, be creative.
As a result you will see that we have introduced Helen Hamann Yarns and Pagewood Farm to our inventory. We'll be adding more brands over the next couple of months.
We also got the chance to check out new yarns by some of our existing vendors. From Universal we will be bringing in Tundra and Marine novelty yarns, as well as their Garden Mercerized cotton, which can be crocheted or knitted in to beautiful shawls.
Malabrigo also showcased a new superwash Merino yarn that won't be shipping until May. More on the colorways as soon as we have information. However, if you are a Malabrigo fan you will know that all of their colorways are good.
